Interview With an Alien at the Office of the DNI

No comments :

The office of the DNI stands for Office of the Director of National Intelligence. The Director is the Presidents right hand man when it comes to National Intelligence.

In this video you see a real alien about to be interviewed by the Office of the DNI. The man who is talking with his voice scrambled is the man who smuggled the video out of the office and did a good job of keeping his identity secret. The alien was supposed to relay some information telepathically about why the aliens were visiting the Earth in the movie, but unfortunately ended up having a respiratory attack and had to be treated by the medical team.

Are Aliens Watching Old TV Shows?

No comments :
Television transmissions expand outward from the Earth at the speed of light, and there's a trope in science fiction that aliens have learned everything about humans by watching our television shows. If you're 4 light-years away, you're see the light from the Earth as it looked 4 years ago, and some of that light includes television transmissions, as radio waves are just another form of electromagnetism – it's all just light.

Humans began serious television service in the 1930s, and by the modern era, there were thousands of powerful transmitters pumping out electromagnetic radiation for all to see. So are aliens watching "I Love Lucy" or footage from World War II and believing it all to be part of our "Historical Documents"?

The first radio broadcasts started in the early 1900s. At the time I'm recording this video, it's late 2014, so those transmissions have escaped into space 114 years ago. This means our transmissions have reached a sphere of stars with a radius of 114 light-years.

Are there other stars in that volume of space? Absolutely. It's estimated that there are more than 14,000 stars within 100 light years of Earth. Most of those are tiny red dwarf stars, but there would be hundreds of sunlike stars.

As we're discovering, almost all of those stars will have planets, many of which will be Earthlike. It's almost certain some of those stars will have planets in the habitable zone, and could have evolved life forms, technology and television sets and were able to learn of the Stealth Haze and the Mak'Tar chant of strength.

Will the signals be powerful enough to stretch across the vast distances of space and reach another world so that many generations of aliens can hang their hopes that James Tiberius Kirk never visits their planet with his loose morals, questionably applied prime directive, irresistible charms and pants aflame with who knows what kinds of interstellar STIs?

Here's the problem. Broadcast towers transmit their signals outward in a sphere, which falls under the inverse square law. The strength of the signal decreases massively over distance. By the time you've gone a few light years, the signal is almost non-existent.

Aliens could build a huge receiver, like the square kilometer array being built right now, but the signals they could receive from Earth would be a billion billion billion times weaker. Very hard to pick out from the background radiation. And by Grabthar's hammer, I assure you it's only by focusing our transmissions and beaming them straight at another star do we stand a chance of alerting aliens of our presence. Which, like it or not, is something we've done. So there's that.

We've really been broadcasting our existence for hundreds of millions of years. The very presence of oxygen in the atmosphere of the Earth would tell any alien with a good enough telescope that there's life here. Aliens could tell when we invented fire, when we developed steam technology, and what kinds of cars we like to drive, just by looking at our atmosphere. So don't worry about our transmissions, the jig is up.

How much of the movie "Interstellar" is fiction, and how much is based in fact?

No comments :

Interstellar deals with such concepts as the science of black holes, relativity, and space travel, to be exact, which is why renowned astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson has now weighed in on the film. However, as was also the case when Tyson offered his thoughts on the movie Gravity in 2013, he’s not focused on Interstellar‘s artistic merits as a work of storytelling but, rather, in the way that it treats scientific ideas (theoretical and proven concepts alike).

The Interstellar narrative follows a team of astronauts, led by the former NASA pilot Cooper (Matthew McConaughey) and scientist/astronaut Brand (Anne Hathaway), as they undertake a dangerous space mission in the hope of finding a new planet for humanity to survive on (now that Earth’s suffering an agricultural collapse). The team ends up traveling through a wormhole to another galaxy, where they visit alien planets where strong gravitational forces affect the passage of time, among other scientific phenomena.

A Fresh, Never Before Seen Impact Crater on Mars

No comments :

The surface of Mars is a well worn place in the Solar System, heavily pounded by countless meteor impacts. And some of these craters are hundreds of millions of years old. So it’s unusual for there to be a completely fresh impact on the surface of Mars: but that’s just what NASA scientists discovered looking through a recent batch of images returned from NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter.

You’re looking at an image taken by the Mars Context Camera, an instrument on board the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter. In an older photograph taken of the region in February 2012, there was just a bunch of old craters. And then, in the newer image, taken June 2014, this fresh scar on the surface of Mars is clearly visible.

The crater itself is circular, but the blast of ejecta indicates that the object came in from the West, and struck the surface of Mars, blasting out a curtain of pulverized rock that covered the nearby surface. The impactor would have vaporized into a fireball of superheated rock, like a nuclear bomb exploding on the surface of Mars, while the eject blanket was shot out to the side.

This isn’t the first time spacecraft have detected new craters on Mars. In fact, the largest new crater discovered was half the length of a football field. And so far, researchers have turned up more than 400 new craters on the surface of Mars.

The Mars Context Camera has completely imaged the entire surface of Mars at least once during its 7-year mission. And with multiple passes, planetary scientists are starting to build up a picture of how the dynamic the surface of Mars can really be.

Aliens exist on the moon - DOCUMENTARY

No comments :
A documentary about to be released on the SyFy channel entitled "Aliens on the Moon: The Truth Exposed." The two-hour special is exposing the truth about aliens on the moon. SyFy has made the claim never-before-seen photos from NASA will be shown in this documentary, revealing installations, factories, saucers, hangers and huge satellite dishes on the moon. Astronauts and other experts will be in the film to comment, I think this is one show worth checking out.

Westall UFO 1966

No comments :

One of the greatest, and one of the most witnessed UFO sightings ever recorded, happened on April 6th, 1966 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia at around 11:00am in the afternoon at what was then Westall high school (now called Westall Secondary College).
The sighting had around 200 witnesses ranging from head masters to science teachers to regular students.

On the date in question things were as usual at Westall. Some children were playing sports out in the school yard as others were studying, and it was clear out. Then almost out of know where, what was described as a large, siverish colored, saucer shaped disk about the size of two or three cars, came hovering over the school and moved towards a wooded area and then proceeded to land.

The children at the school, of course were mesmerized as were the teachers on duty, so they jumped the fence towards the wooded area where the UFO had disappeared behind as the teachers told them to return.

According to one witness one of the girls made it over to where the UFO had landed while it was still there and was found unconscious and had to be taken away in an ambulance. According to the same witness she never returned to school after that day. Before most of the witnesses could reach where the UFO had landed it had rose up and took off at what they all said was incredible speeds. At which time the witnesses said they saw five other objects, most likely military planes chasing the object.

Where the greyish Saucer shaped UFO had landed the grass was flattened in a circle, although no one really knows if it completely landed and after the 20 minute ordeal it was gone.
The children where all told to go back to school and head to their respective classes while the police showed up. (And this is where it gets a little odd).

The police came and talked to a few of the adult witnesses and then the head master of the school called an unscheduled assembly to talk about what had happened and to tell the students that what they saw was not an extraterrestrial craft but something man made such as a weather balloon and told them not to repeat what they had seen that day to anyone.

At the same time the other teachers at the school reported that two men in dark blue suits had come and talked to them about what they saw. The they were also told not to talk about what they saw that day especially to the press. One of the teachers, who had grabbed her camera and snapped dozens of pictures of the saucer shaped object, said that when she was taken aside the men in suits they took her camera and said it was now their property. She also said that the men were from the ASIO (Austrialian Security Intelligence Organization).

A science teacher at the school Andrew Greenwood was later visited by officers at his home who threatened him to not say anything under the Official Secrets Act and if he did they would have him fired and discredit him by releasing rumors of him being an alcoholic which he wasn't.

The press from the event was minimal but The Dandenong Journal covered the story and interviewed as many people as would come forward which ended up as a front page story. They also looked into the witnesses accounts of airplanes chasing after the UFO but acourding to commercial and military records there were no planes in the area at the time even though well over a hundred people had seen them.

Neil deGrasse Tyson Is Worried That Humans Are Too Stupid For Aliens

No comments :

A lot of people ask if extraterrestrial life exists and why haven't we encountered any alien life yet.

"Maybe they have visited us, but no one noticed because everybody who hangs out in Times Square is just a little crazy."

A more serious concern, though, is that maybe humans are so stupid and uncivilized that aliens have decided we're not worth encountering.

Neil deGrasse Tyson talks about aliens and why it actually might be a good thing that aliens haven't visited Earth yet.

Files from government UFO investigation now available online

No comments :

PROJECTBLUEBOOK

Project Blue Book launched in 1952, the third in a series of Air Force investigations aimed at scientifically studying UFOs and determining whether they were a threat to national security. Though the program was officially terminated in 1970, Project Blue Book files could previously be accessed in full only by visiting the National Archives in Washington, D.C. But now, thanks to a man named John Greenewald, who displays more than a million pages of government documents he’s obtained through Freedom of Information Act requests on his website The Black Vault, anyone can pour through all 130,000 Blue Book files without leaving home.

According to an interview with the UFO news website OpenMinds.tv, Greenewald started The Black Vault when he was 15 and, after nearly two decades of relentless FOIA-ing, now claims to host the largest online collection of declassified government data on everything for environmental issues to terrorism and mind control. But the most exciting part about Greenewald’s latest acquisition is that, according to the U.S. Air Force, 701, or 5.5 percent, of the 12,618 reported sightings included in the Blue Book files remain “unidentified”—a challenge UFO enthusiasts and researchers will surely be eager to accept.

“It is a project that lasted for over 20 years, and they investigated thousands of cases. Sure, many of them they claimed were all explanatory, but you still have a few gems that remain a mystery,” Greenewald told Open Minds. “But further, you can use this data to compare and contrast to what it is today and start drawing conclusions or, rather, maybe pose new questions that investigators haven’t thought of yet.”

The Riddle Of Black Holes

No comments :

They are the most powerful objects in the universe. Nothing, not even light, can escape the gravitational pull of a black hole. Astronomers now believe there are billions of them out in the cosmos, swallowing up planets, even entire stars in violent feeding frenzies. New theoretical research into the twisted reality of black holes suggests that three-dimensional space could be an illusion. That reality actually takes place on a two-dimensional hologram at the edge of the universe.

Black holes are almost as difficult to imagine as they are to detect, but a few scientists have been up for the task over the centuries. Cambridge scholar John Michell wrote a paper in 1783 in which he hypothesized the existence of "dark stars" — stars so large and with so much gravity that light wouldn't escape their surfaces. Most astronomers of the day thought it was an absurd notion.

Then, in 1915, Einstein published his general theory of relativity, providing a framework that allowed for a reinterpretation of Michell's hypothesis. An Indian graduate student by the name of Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar piggybacked on Einstein's theories to suggest that stars of a certain size — much larger than our sun — would experience a catastrophic collapse at the end of their lives, thereby transforming the bodies into cosmic vacuum cleaners whose powerful gravity could suck all light and matter into their black maws.

Phoenix Lights - 1997

3 comments :

The Phoenix Lights (also identified as "Lights over Phoenix") was a UFO sighting which occurred in Phoenix, Arizona, and Sonora, Mexico on Thursday, March 13, 1997.

Lights of varying descriptions were seen by thousands of people between 19:30 and 22:30 MST, in a space of about 300 miles (480 km), from the Nevada line, through Phoenix, to the edge of Tucson.
There were allegedly two distinct events involved in the incident: a triangular formation of lights seen to pass over the state, and a series of stationary lights seen in the Phoenix area. The United States Air Force identified the second group of lights as flares dropped by A-10 Warthog aircraft that were on training exercises at the Barry Goldwater Range in southwest Arizona.

Witnesses claim to have observed a huge carpenter's square-shaped UFO, containing five spherical lights or possibly light-emitting engines. Fife Symington, the governor at the time, was one witness to this incident; he later called the object "otherworldly."

The lights were reported to have reappeared in 2007 and 2008, but these events were quickly attributed to (respectively) military flares dropped by fighter aircraft at Luke Air Force Base and flares attached to helium balloons released by a civilian.

The Washington D.C. Sightings, 1952

No comments :

By 1952, the "flying saucer frenzy" that swept the North American continent had reached its apex. UFOs showed up in droves, and the Air Force was put under tremendous pressure to produce an explanation.

The issue came to a head in the summer of 1952 when a pair of dramatic sightings over Washington D.C. triggered a media firestorm. The public reaction prompted the Air Force to develop new methods for dealing with unexplained sightings that would sacrifice scientific rigour in the service of dampening public interest.

The Washington Incidents were some of the last sightings to make headlines before the jaws of government secrecy snapped shut on the question of UFOs.

Belgian UFO wave - 1989

No comments :

The Belgian UFO wave began in November 1989. The events of 29 November would be documented by no less than thirty different groups of witnesses, and three separate groups of police officers. All of the reports related a large object flying at low altitude. The craft was of a flat, triangular shape, with lights underneath. This giant craft did not make a sound as it slowly moved across the landscape of Belgium. There was free sharing of information as the Belgian populace tracked this craft as it moved from the town of Liege to the border of the Netherlands and Germany.

The Belgian UFO wave peaked with the events of the night of 30/31 March 1990. On that night unknown objects were tracked on radar, chased by two Belgian Air Force F-16s, photographed, and were sighted by an estimated 13,500 people on the ground – 2,600 of whom filed written statements describing in detail what they had seen.Following the incident the Belgian air force released a report detailing the events of that night.

At around 23:00 on 30 March the supervisor for the Control Reporting Center (CRC) at Glons received reports that three unusual lights were seen moving towards Thorembais-Gembloux, which lies to the South-East of Brussels. The lights were reported to be brighter than stars, changing color between red, green and yellow, and appeared to be fixed at the vertices of an equilateral triangle. At this point Glons CRC requested the Wavre gendarmerie send a patrol to confirm the sighting.

Approximately 10 minutes later a second set of lights was sighted moving towards the first triangle. By around 23:30 the Wavre gendarmerie had confirmed the initial sightings and Glons CRC had been able to observe the phenomenon on radar. During this time the second set of lights, after some erratic manoeuvres, had also formed themselves into a smaller triangle. After tracking the targets and after receiving a second radar confirmation from the Traffic Center Control at Semmerzake, Glons CRC gave the order to scramble two F-16 fighters from Beauvechain Air Base shortly before midnight. Throughout this time the phenomenon was still clearly visible from the ground, with witnesses describing the whole formation as maintaining their relative positions while moving slowly across the sky. Witnesses also reported two dimmer lights towards the municipality of Eghezee displaying similar erratic movements to the second set of lights.

Over the next hour the two scrambled F-16s attempted nine separate interceptions of the targets. On three occasions they managed to obtain a radar lock for a few seconds but each time the targets changed position and speed so rapidly that the lock was broken. During the first radar lock, the target accelerated from 240 km/h to over 1,770 km/h while changing altitude from 2,700 m to 1,500 m, then up to 3,350 m before descending to almost ground level – the first descent of more than 900 m taking less than two seconds. Similar manoeuvres were observed during both subsequent radar locks. On no occasion were the F-16 pilots able to make visual contact with the targets and at no point, despite the speeds involved, was there any indication of a sonic boom.

The Rendlesham Forest UFO Incident

No comments :

The Rendlesham Forest incident is the name given to a series of reported sightings of unexplained lights and the alleged landing of a craft or multiple craft in Rendlesham Forest, Suffolk, England, in late December 1980, just outside RAF Woodbridge, used at the time by the U.S. Air Force.
Dozens of USAF personnel were eyewitnesses to various events over a two- or three-day period. It is the most famous UFO event to have happened in Britain, ranking amongst the best-known UFO events worldwide.

Along with the Berwyn Mountain UFO incident, it has been compared to the Roswell UFO incident in the United States, and is sometimes referred to as "Britain's Roswell".

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) stated the event posed no threat to national security, and that it therefore never was investigated as a security matter. Later evidence indicated that there was a substantial MoD file on the subject, which led to claims of a cover-up; some interpreted this as part of a larger pattern of information suppression concerning the true nature of unidentified flying objects, by both the United States and British governments.

One person to take this view was eyewitness and Deputy Base Commander Colonel Charles Halt. Another was former NATO head and UK Chief of the Defence Staff Lord Peter Hill-Norton, who stated whatever happened at this USAF base was necessarily of national security interest. However, when the file was released in 2001 it turned out to consist mostly of internal correspondence and responses to inquiries from the public.

Sceptics note that the lack of any in-depth investigation in the publicly released documents is consistent with the MoD's earlier statement that they never took the case seriously. Included in the released files is an explanation given by defence minister Lord Trefgarne as to why the MoD did not investigate further.

The sightings have been explained as misinterpretation of a series of nocturnal lights – a fireball, the Orford Ness lighthouse and bright stars.

Mariana UFO Incident

No comments :
At 11:25 am on August 15, 1950, Nick Mariana, the general manager of the Great Falls Electrics minor-league baseball team, and his nineteen-year old secretary, Virginia Raunig, were inspecting the empty Legion Stadium baseball field before a game. The Electrics were a farm club of the Brooklyn Dodgers.

A bright flash caught Mariana's eye and, according to his reports, he saw two bright silvery objects, rotating while flying over Great Falls at a speed he estimated to be two hundred to four hundred miles per hour. He believed that they were roughly fifty feet wide and one hundred and fifty feet apart. Mariana ran to his car to retrieve his 16 mm movie camera and filmed the UFOs for sixteen seconds. The camera could film the objects in color, but could not record sound. Raunig also witnessed the objects.

The day after Mariana's sighting, the Great Falls Tribune, the city's daily newspaper, described his sighting and the film in an article, which was picked up by other media outlets. For several weeks after the sighting, Mariana showed his film to local community groups, including the Central Roundtable Athletic Club.

The Allagash Incident

No comments :

Jim Weiner, Jack Weiner, Charles Foltz and Charles Rak claim that they were abducted by aliens during a camping trip near Allagash, Maine on August 20, 1976. According to the four men, hypnotic regression enabled them to recall the experience of being taken aboard a UFO and "probed and tested by four-fingered beings with almond-shaped eyes and languid limbs".

The incident was the subject of a book, The Allagash Abductions by Raymond E. Fowler. The incident was also dramatized in an episode of Unsolved Mysteries and featured in the TV program Abducted by UFOs.

Triangle UFO spotted hovering over Maryland’s I-95

No comments :
This is not an actual photo.

Two Maryland witnesses driving northbound along I-95 near the Ellicott City ramp reported watching a triangle-shaped UFO that moved directly overhead and hovered over nearby trees, according to testimony in Case 62426 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The reporting witness was driving on a return trip to Pennsylvania with his mother as a front seat passenger at approximately 3:55 a.m. on December 29, 2014, when the object was first seen.

“I noticed a large, bright light glide over Interstate 95, almost directly over our car, just enough to get my attention,” the witness stated. “I was driving about 70 mph and pressed my face against the front windshield to get a better look at it.”

UFO fireball releases orb over California - Video

No comments :

A spectacular UFO video, posted to YouTube on Jan. 5, shows a fireball burning through the skies over California as a glowing orb is released and hurtles in the opposite direction. The unidentified flying object may be just another meteor burning up in the atmosphere, but the strange orb-like object which is emitted seems to be under intelligent control. What is it?

In the video above, taken by a startled witness named Ken Roberts as he was driving in Southern California, the fireball can be seen streaking through the sky as it heads to the ground. That's when the unidentified flying object seems to eject a glowing, white orb, which takes off in the opposite direction. The strange behavior of the second object is leading to speculation that the UFO is ejecting an escape pod, possibly even containing crew members.

Of course, the logical explanation could be that the fireball is actually an airplane, or jet, in the death throes of a crash landing. But, so far, no news of an airplane crash, whether military or civilian, have been reported, leading some to conclude the aircraft, if that is what it is, may not be of Earth origin. The video, showing about 30 seconds of the fireball's descent, cuts off abruptly, with the final two minutes showing nothing but a black screen.

In the last few years, images of fireballs have become more common, mirroring the rise of personal video and citizen journalism, and caught most spectacularly by dozens of residents in and around Chelyabinsk, Russia, who filmed a meteor exploding in the atmosphere, mostly on dashboard mounted video cams, nearly two years ago. And, more recently, thousands of eyewitnesses saw a fireball hurtling over the East Coast, with a lucky few catching the drama on camera.

However, it seems this is the first time a video has captured what looks like an object hurtling away from the meteor and, improbably, in the opposite direction of the UFO's flight path. As Ken Roberts explains in the description of the video, the UFO "Couldn't have been a plane cause there was no noise. And I never heard a crash after either. The Orb thing flew straight up into the sky and disappeared."

What do you think? Watch the video above and please feel free to leave a comment below. Is this just another meteor which escaped the detection of sky watchers? Or is it a UFO ejecting an escape pod?

Here’s how to see a comet passing by Earth.

No comments :
© Rogelio Bernal Andreo/Stocktrek Images/Getty Images Comet Lovejoy (C/2011 W3), a long-period comet.
In January you may want to pick a clear evening to head outside and look at the sky. If you do, you'll have a chance to see something pretty cool: a comet, streaking past Earth as it orbits the sun.

The comet, called C/2014 Q2 (Lovejoy), is already visible to the naked eye in some areas, and will make its closest approach to Earth on January 7

Comets that are visible without telescopes at all only come around about once per year, and most of them are much fainter than this one. So sometime between January 7 and 22 or so, go outside and take a look.

Regardless of where you live, you can already see the comet each night starting a few hours after sunset. Slate's Phil Plait recommends trying to view it at starting around 9 pm or so, when it'll be relatively high above the horizon. But over the next month, it'll move higher and higher in the sky, so it'll already by quite far from the horizon by sunset for most Northern hemisphere viewers.

Unless you live in a place with little light pollution, binoculars or a telescope are probably necessary to get a view of the comet right now.

This chart, from Sky and Telescope, shows where to look for the comet as it moves North and away from the horizon over the course of January.

The comet was first spotted in August by Terry Lovejoy, an Australian amateur astronomer who'd already discovered four other comets in his spare time. It wasn't originally predicted to be easily visible, but it's already become far brighter than projected.

Voyager 2 in Elite: Dangerous

No comments :
The designers of Elite: Dangerous went to great lengths to ensure the game’s portrayal of space travel is as authentic as possible. That includes adding the location of where the Voyager 2 would be in the game’s timeline.

The secret is the Voyager 2. Elite: Dangerous has a replica of the Milky Way, and the game itself takes place in 3300. So one technical artist on the team decided to add the Voyager 2 probe to the game. It’s located where it should be with respect to the game’s timeline. That’s 2.1 million seconds away from Sol.

Take a look.

The math used to predict its future location all checks out apparently, according to the people on Reddit.

UFOs in the Sky - Video Compilation

No comments :

Footage includes stunning helicopter camera captures of UFOs flying low over downtown areas, a missile destroying an unknown alien orb, an amazing formation of shimmering UFOs in California, and a close encounter on the high seas near Spain.

UFO activity is increasingly more prevalent near our global air transportation infrastructure and military aircraft. Are all of these sightings just top secret military craft? Or is it possible that even just one of them is not a vehicle of human design - then can we as a people truly say that these are "our skies" anymore?

"Classic" UFO Photo from Belgian Wave - the Hoaxer Confesses

No comments :
For more than twenty years, UFO believers have been citing the 1989-1990 wave of UFO sightings in Belgium as an unexplained mystery. For a period of several months, people in Belgium were reporting sightings of a triangular-shaped craft. It was one of the major chapters in Leslie Kean's recent best-selling book, "UFOs: Generals, Pilots, and Government Officials Go on the Record".

Even Michael Shermer's review of Kean's book suggests that the Belgian sightings represent a "residue of anomalies"

X Canadian Defence Minister - “At Least 4 Known Alien Species Have Been Visiting Earth For Thousands Of Years”

No comments :

Paul Hellyer was Canadian minister of Defense in 1960s, ruling over the country's armed forces during the time of the Cold War.
On 3 June 1967, Hellyer flew in by helicopter to officially inaugurate an unidentified flying object landing pad in St. Paul, Alberta.
The town had built it as its Canadian Centennial celebration project, and as a symbol of keeping space free from human warfare.

In early September 2005, Hellyer made headlines by publicly announcing that he believed in the existence of UFOs. On 25 September 2005, he was an invited speaker at an exopolitics conference in Toronto, where he told the audience that he had seen a UFO one night with his late wife and some friends. He said that, although he had discounted the experience at the time, he had kept an open mind to it. He said that he started taking the issue much more seriously after watching ABC's Peter Jennings' UFO special in February 2005.

Michigan hunters encounter UFO in remote wooded area

Two Michigan witnesses at Harbor Springs reported watching an 8-foot diameter ball of blue-white light hovering less than 100 feet away that appeared to move away in a controlled manner, according to testimony in Case 62045 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The testimony was filed for the witnesses by Michigan MUFON Chief Investigator Daniel Snow on December 18, 2014, for events that occurred at 6:15 a.m. on November 16, 2014.

The two witnesses had walked two hours to a remote deer hunting area when they encountered the UFO. Pictured: Harbor Springs, MI. (Credit: Google)

“Witness (A) and his brother, witness (B), were at a secluded deer hunting blind which was a two-hour hike in 10 inches of snow from their vehicle,” the investigator stated. “The location was on top of a prominent hill with a broad view of the valley below.”

The investigator described the strange encounter.

“After getting setup, still prior to sunrise, they noticed about a half dozen flashes of light. It was snowing moderately, when all of a sudden at close range, a stationary ball of white light appeared just above the tree tops nearby. The trees were about 30 feet high and the distance away was less than 100 feet.”

The object and its movement were described.

“The object appeared to be about the size of a small car, appeared to be a glowing blue/white ball of light with no edges and no attached object. After a few seconds of being stationary, the object proceeded to flow down the valley, parallel to the ground, and disappeared. The total sighting duration was about 30 seconds. The winds observed were from the north. The object departed to the east. No tracks, imprints or changes were observed to the nearby snow cover.”

Harbor Springs is a city and resort community in Emmet County, MI, population 1,194.

Michigan has a current UFO Alert Rating of 5 with a low number of recent reports nationally.
Michigan had 10 UFO reports that occurred during November 2014 – calculated at 1.01 sightings per million population.

The UFO Alert Rating System is based on five levels – 1 through 5 – where states with 4.01 or higher reports per million residents are rated an Alert 1; 3.01 – 4.0 reports are an Alert 2; 2.51 – 3.0 are an Alert 3; 2.01 – 2.5 are an Alert 4; and those states with 2.0 or lower are rated an Alert 5.

A New Jersey witness at Edison reported watching three “rocket-looking” objects crossing the sky north to south beginning at 10:05 p.m. on December 18, 2014, according to testimony in Case 62064 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness had just stepped outside with an uncle when the objects were first seen.
“Looked up and three objects came from the north to the south about at two-second intervals right over our heads,” the witness stated.

The witness described the objects.

“They appeared to be rocket-looking by the flame-like light coming out the back of them. There were misty clouds they were traveling through (in and out) and I could get a clear look at their shape, which was solid and missile-like with no wings.”

The witness says he is able to see known objects in the sky constantly.

“I live near three major airports, so I see jets all the time. At night there is a constant display of about 4-8 at any given time. These were silent and lower than the other jets in the area.”

The witness is trying to rule out anything known.

“They looked like shooting stars, but were traveling at conventional speed as compared to other jets flying overhead at other times. My uncle witnessed them also but his vision is not that great. But he did see the yellow flame-like light coming out the back of these three objects.”

Edison is a township in Middlesex County, New Jersey, population 99,967.

Horseshoe-shaped UFO photographed hovering over Pikes Peak

Colorado witnesses at Colorado Springs reported watching a “lighted object” hovering over nearby mountains in the shape of a horseshoe that quickly disappeared, according to testimony in Case 62085 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The reporting witness and his wife were driving on December 16, 2014, when the object was noticed above the north ridge of Pikes Peak.

“We were driving at the time, headed west on Woodmen Road, and then west on Rockrimmon,” the witness stated. “Then west on Vindicator. We witnessed what I thought was a light that had a horseshoe shape. My wife thought it was an object emitting light, but the shape was consistent for both of us.”

The witnesses’ wife used a cell phone to take two photos of the distant object: Image 1 and Image 2.
“The pictures are obviously not as detailed as what we saw, but did offer a picture that shows a light with a sense of direction. The photos were both taken at 4:48 p.m. on the 16th of December, with an iPhone 5s.”

They were first drawn to the object by its light.

“We noticed the object because it was extremely bright at dusk. The brightness is what brought our attention to it. I had no clue what the object might have been when I first laid eyes it, but my wife thought it was some type of rocket.”

The witness described the object.

“The light/object was just above the north ridge of Pikes Peak. It was a constant yellow-orange-reddish light that was unwavering in brightness. It appeared as a horseshoe shape with the ends of the shoe pointed down and turned at an angle so you could see the opening at the bottom and the arch at the top. It seemed to move slowly in a southern direction and then hover.”

The entire sighting lasted just two minutes.

“Then the object simply disappeared with no trace left. We both felt hearts race and a feeling of excitement, but almost doubt as well. My wife looked for any explanation that it could be on the Internet and found nothing. We researched more into this and that’s when we found MUFON.”

New Area 51 alien autopsy image is ‘smoking gun’?

UFO expert Tom Carey claims to have been given the images by an agent from a US intelligence agent who operated during the Second World War

The photo, taken on film, was sent to Tom Carey and has been verified to date back to 1947 by Kodak, the same year of the infamous Roswell 'crash' in New Mexico.

Mr Carey has now contacted Kodak historians to seek further confirmation on the date the image was taken.

He said: "‘What’s interesting is, the film is dated 1947.

"We took it to the official historian of Kodak up in Rochester, New York, and he did his due diligence on it, and he said yes, this filmstrip, the slides are from 1947.

"It’s 1947 stock.

"And from the emulsions on the image, it’s not something that’s been Photoshopped like today.

"It’s original 1947 images, and it shows an alien who’s been partially dissected lying in a case."

Carey believes that the creatures are four feet tall, and added: "The head is almost insect-like.

"The head has been severed, and there’s been a partial autopsy; the innards have been removed, and we believe the cadaver has been embalmed, at least at the time this picture was taken."

But not all are convinced by the photo.

Nigel Watson, author of the Haynes UFO Investigations Manual, said: "Usually when people make promises that they have the smoking gun of ufology – positive evidence of their existence – they come to nothing or they produce rather underwhelming evidence.

"However, if aliens were retrieved it would be a world changing event and I can’t imagine they could keep the lid on such an event throughout the 50s and 60s."

Super-sensitive motion sensor could be used to hunt for extraterrestrial life

No comments :

People often state that certain planets are too hot, cold or toxic to support life. The catch, however, is that those people are really just talking about life as we know it here on Earth. By that same token, when rovers exploring other planets seek out chemical signatures associated with life forms, they're only able to identify chemicals that we know to look for. That's why Swiss scientists from the EPFL research center have created a device that identifies microscopic life, based on nanoscale movements instead of chemistry.

Developed by researchers Giovanni Dietler, Sandor Kasas and Giovanni Longo, the ultra-sensitive motion sensor utilizes technology that's already used in the atomic force microscope.
In the case of the microscope, a tiny sharp-tipped probe is moved across the surface being imaged. That probe takes the form of a cantilever – one end is secured to the microscope, while the other (the pointy end) is free to move up and down as it's affected by the contours and other properties of the surface. The microscope uses a laser to measure those minuscule movements, and proceeds to create an image of the surface based upon them.

On the EPFL motion sensor, a tiny cantilever extends out horizontally from the device. When microscopic living items such as individual cells or bacterium are placed on its free end, even their regular metabolic functions will cause the cantilever to vibrate. As with the microscope, those movements are detected via a laser.

When testing the system, the scientists were able to detect movement in items such as bacteria, yeast, mouse and human cells. They were also able to detect and isolate organisms from soil and water samples, which stopped producing readings once drugs were used to kill them.
In the immediate future, suggested applications for the technology include things like drug development. For that particular scenario, live bacteria or cancer cells could be placed on a cantilever and then subjected to a medication intended to eradicate them – the sensor would let researchers know how thoroughly the medication did its job.

Down the road, however, the EPFL team would indeed like to see arrays of the motion sensors installed on vehicles like the Curiosity Rover, helping to search for extraterrestrial life. That's assuming that life forms on other planets do move, even if just a little bit.
A paper on the research was recently published in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

A Colorado witness at Fairplay reported seeing a Saturn-like UFO on her camera screen that could not be seen with the naked eye, according to testimony in Case 62246 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The event occurred about 1:30 p.m. on December 14, 2014, as the reporting witness and his fiancé were driving along Highway 285.
“The surrounding area was very beautiful, so she decided take some pictures,” the reporting witness stated. “She noticed an object on the screen and she started to try to find it without using the phone and was asking if I could see anything. She realized she could only see it through the camera screen on the phone.”

“Neither of us ever did see anything with our naked eyes, but in the photos it appears as if the object was traveling very fast. We were going about 65 mph and the pictures were taken only a few seconds apart, yet the object appears to have moved drastically. We cannot identify this and are hoping someone else can.”
